Newstar 12V 9Ah VRLA AGM Battery (NP12-9Ah)
Ideal for
Overview
Need more backup time but can't change the enclosure? The Newstar 12V 9Ah fits the same 151 x 65 x 100 mm space as a standard 12V 7Ah and gives about 29% more capacity. Fire panels, intruder alarms, access control and small UPS units get longer runtime without any change to the housing.
Its low 19 mΩ internal resistance and 135A maximum discharge current handle load spikes from sounders, maglocks and UPS start-up. Its sealed AGM construction means no water top-ups, no acid handling and no routine checks. BAM supplies it wholesale to integrators, security and fire installers, MEP contractors and FM companies across the UAE and GCC.

Frequently asked questions
Can't find your answer? Message our sales team on WhatsApp.
Can I replace a 12V 7Ah with this battery?
Yes, in most cases. It has the same 151 x 65 x 100 mm size and terminals. Check that your charger and battery calculations allow for the higher capacity.
Which terminal does it have?
It is available with T1 (4.75 mm) or T2 (6.35 mm) tab terminals. Check which one your equipment needs before ordering.
What charger settings should I use?
For standby use, float charge at 13.60–13.80V at 25°C with a maximum charging current of 2.7A.
How long will it last?
The design floating life is 5 years at 25°C. Higher temperatures shorten it, so install away from heat sources.
What does the warranty cover?
Standby (backup) use only, where the battery sits on float charge and discharges during power failures. Cyclic use, such as toys or portable devices, is not covered.
