The Newstar 12V 5Ah gives 5Ah of 12V standby power in a compact upright body of 90 x 70 x 106 mm. Its low 21 mΩ internal resistance delivers strong current the moment the load kicks in.
It sits on float charge, topped up and ready, then takes over the moment the mains drops. Its sealed AGM construction means no water top-ups, no acid handling and no routine checks. What charger settings should I use?
For standby use, float charge at 13.50–13.80V at 25°C. Keep the initial charging current below 1.5A.
Which terminal does it have?
It is available with T1 (4.75 mm) or T2 (6.35 mm) tab terminals. Check which one your equipment needs before ordering.
Will it fit my panel?
It measures 90 x 70 mm and is 106 mm tall including terminals. Check these against your enclosure before ordering.
How long will it last?
The design floating life is 5 years at 25°C. Higher temperatures shorten it, so install away from heat sources.
Can I use it in toys or portable devices?
It will power them, but these drain and recharge the battery repeatedly. That is cyclic use, which the warranty does not cover.
What does the warranty cover?
Standby (backup) use only, where the battery sits on float charge and discharges during power failures.
Do you deliver outside the UAE?
