Newstar 2V 200Ah Very Long-Life VRLA AGM Cell (33-2200)
Ideal for
Overview
Telecom DC plants, substations and data centre UPS systems run large battery banks that are expected to last for many years. The Newstar 2V 200Ah cell is built for that duty. It has a 15-year design float life and a Eurobat "very long life" (12+ years) rating, so banks built from it last longer and need replacing less often than banks of 12V blocks.
Each cell delivers 200Ah at the 10-hour rate. Wire 24 in series for a 48V telecom plant, or build up to 110V and 220V DC systems for utilities and industry. Its extremely low 0.8 mΩ internal resistance and 1500A maximum discharge current carry heavy loads cleanly, and M8 terminals give a strong connection for inter-cell links. Its sealed AGM construction means no water top-ups and no routine checks. BAM supplies it wholesale to telecom, utility, UPS and MEP contractors across the UAE and GCC.
Built for uptime, not for the shelf
What the 2V 200Ah means for your site, your project and your team.
15-year design life
Eurobat "very long life" rated, so banks last longer and need replacing less often than 12V blocks.
Build any DC voltage
Wire cells in series for 48V telecom plants or 110V and 220V utility and industrial systems.
Handles heavy loads
Extremely low 0.8 mΩ internal resistance and 1500A peak discharge carry large DC loads cleanly.
Heavy-duty M8 terminals
M8 threaded inserts give strong, low-resistance inter-cell connections.
How long will it run your load?
A quick estimate to help you size your system. Our team will confirm exact sizing with your quote.
Estimate only, based on nominal capacity, 80% usable depth and a high-rate derating factor. Actual runtime varies with temperature, battery age and load profile.

How many cells do I need?
Divide your system voltage by 2. For example, 6 cells make 12V, 24 cells make 48V and 55 cells make about 110V. Always check your charger or rectifier's specified cell count.
Why use 2V cells instead of 12V blocks?
2V cells offer longer design life, higher capacity per unit and lower internal resistance, which is why telecom, utility and data centre banks are usually built from them.
What charger settings should I use?
Float charge at 2.25–2.30V per cell at 25°C, with temperature compensation of -3mV/°C per cell. The maximum charging current is 40A.
How long will it last in the Gulf?
Heat shortens battery life. For the longest service, install the bank in a cooled, ventilated battery room. Every 10°C above 25°C significantly reduces float life.
Will it fit my rack?
Each cell measures 171 x 111 mm and is 364 mm tall including terminals, and weighs about 12.7 kg. Check rack layout and floor loading for the full bank.
What does the warranty cover?
Standby (backup) use only, where the cells sit on float charge and discharge during power failures. Cyclic use, such as solar or daily-cycling systems, is not covered.
